We just checked out of our One Bedroom Poolside Butler Villa Suite at Sandals Ochi and wanted to share our review.
Overall, the villa is very nice and has recently been updated to have a light Caribbean vibe. It is very spacious, and we enjoyed the semi-private pool. The only con is the location. Sandals Ochi is a huge resor,t and you need to take a shuttle to get to the beach and several restaurants.
That said, we would definitely book the same room again.

Suite Overview
The One Bedroom Poolside Butler Villa Suite offers a spacious layout with a separate bedroom and living areas. This is perfect for us when one person wakes up sooner than the other or if one of us wants to take a nap during the day. The décor features light Caribbean tones, hardwood furniture, and a relaxing, residential feel.
The suite includes a king-size bed, a living room with a flat-screen Smart TV, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity. It’s worth noting that the bathroom does not have a bathtub. And while we do not take baths often at home, an afternoon bath feels like a good idea on vacation.
Each suite has a patio or a balcony. The benefit of the balcony is the view, it gave us a glimpse of the ocean in the distance. The benefit of the patio is it puts you right at the semi-private pool, shared with just a few nearby suites.

This suite falls under Sandals’ Butler Elite category, giving you access to a professionally trained butler who takes care of every detail.

We usually take advantage of room service a few times, especially when enjoying the pool. They will also pick you up in a golf cart to take you to the Great House, the Hop shuttle service or back to your room.
Location at the Resort
These suites are located in the Butler Village on the hillside of the resort. It requires a shuttle to get to the beachside.

- The Jerk Shack – for authentic Jamaican bites, our favorite lunch
- Southern Table – for comfort food with a Caribbean twist, which we love for breakfast
- Great House Pool & Swim-Up Bar – the resort’s most active hillside pool
- Le Gourmand – French fine dining, reservation only for dinner, and one of our favorites.
- Great House Café – great for burgers and quick lunches.
- Red Lane Spa & Fitness Center – full-service wellness and massage options
- Pickleball courts – perfect for a little friendly competition
The shuttle to the beach runs every few minutes and takes just 3–5 minutes, so it’s easy to move between the hillside and seaside areas whenever you like.
