If you are trying to decide on what room to book at a Sandals Resort, it can be a little confusing.
First, you see the photos of the rooms and the long list of amenities. Next, you notice they are labeled luxury, club, or butler making it harder to choose.
At Sandals Resorts, the difference between a luxury room, a club room, and a butler elite room lies in the level of amenities, services, and exclusivity offered.
Here’s a breakdown of each room category:
Sandals Luxury Rooms
A luxury room is the standard room category at Sandals Resorts. These rooms typically offer comfortable and well-appointed accommodations with a range of amenities. Luxury rooms often feature a king-size bed, a private balcony or patio, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower or bathtub. They are designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay, though they may not include additional special privileges or personalized services.
The main drawback to having a luxury room is that room service is not available. For alcohol, you will only find beer and wine in your room. We have stayed in luxury rooms that we thought we very nice, while others seem a bit outdated or small. Make sure you look at the pictures online and you can watch room tours on YouTube.
For dinner reservations, there is a culinary desk available to help you.
Sandals Club Rooms
A club room is an upgraded room category that includes access to the Sandals Club Lounge. Personally, we rarely go to the club lounge except when we make dinner reservations. Every now and then we will pop in to grab a cookie as well. You can also make excursion reservations here.
The Club Lounge offers exclusive amenities and services for guests staying in club rooms. These amenities can include a dedicated concierge, a private check-in process, and access to a private lounge area with complimentary snacks and drinks.
With a Club room at Sandals, the rooms include a few bottles of liquor along with beer and wine. In general, the rooms are nicer.
If you are in a Club level room at Sandals you also have access to room service.
Butler Elite Rooms
A Butler Elite Room is the highest level of accommodation offered at Sandals Resorts, providing the ultimate in personalized service and luxury. You will find many Butler rooms have a living room, giving you lots of extra space during your stay.
Guests staying in a butler elite room are assigned a personal butler who caters to their every need throughout their stay.
The butlers are highly trained professionals who can assist with tasks such as unpacking and packing, making restaurant reservations, arranging spa treatments, organizing excursions, and providing personalized in-room service.
We love that we can just ask butlers to make dinner reservations for us and not have to worry about it. You can call them to have them bring you drinks or food throughout the day. They can also reserve a spot at the pool or on the beach.
Some people do not want a butler, especially younger travelers who may find it intrusive. Either way, just let your butler know your expectations so they know what to expect. We usually ask them not to do some things they are accustomed to like leaving snacks in the room or escorting us to dinner.
