The largest and nicest of these three rooms, the Caribbean Honeymoon Club Level room features a private balcony with tropical garden and partial ocean views, furnished with a bistro set. As a club level room, it includes a minibar that is refreshed daily and stocked with water, juice, soda, local beer, Robert Mondavi wines, and premium spirits. It is located on the first floor of the Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay, and Monchy buildings, all of which are located close to the lobby area. The Pigeon Island building is closest to the main pool, the Rodney Bay and Monchy buildings are nearer the lagoon pool, and all are close to the beach although the Monchy building is furthest from it. The room code is WDL and rates currently start at $329 per person per night, although they vary throughout the year.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian Overview
The largest of the three Sandals resorts in St. Lucia, Sandals Grande St. Lucian is set along a beautiful mile-long beach on Rodney Bay. It has very calm water, making it perfect for the wide range of complimentary watersports including snorkeling, paddleboarding, waterskiing, and scuba diving.
You also have access to the other two resorts, Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Halcyon Beach, via a free shuttle. Onsite, it has 12 restaurants and 7 bars, plus a variety of complimentary activities and entertainment. Golf is also included at a nearby championship course.
This is one of our favorite Sandals resorts. Perhaps the only negative is that it’s 90 minutes from the airport. The roads are good but winding. We booked alternative transportation because we tend to get motion sickness, and we really enjoyed the ferry ride to the resort and the helicopter back to the airport. Both are great ways to see the island and we recommend doing that if you get car sick.
