Of the 18 Sandals Resorts, there is only one that has a clothing-optional beach.
Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica has a private offshore island with a secluded clothing-optional beach area. It’s important to note that only a specific section of the island is designated for clothing-optional sunbathing, not the entire island or main resort.
Our Thoughts of the Nude Beach at Sandals Ochi
After taking the boat to the private island, the clothing-optional part of the island will be to the left of the dock. There is a small sign indicating where the nude beach is.
While I have never been to a clothing-optional beach before, we went to the beach on the first boat over to check it out. The area is actually very nice, with about 12 lounge chairs and stairs leading into the water.
We arrived at the same time as about 6 other guests. They were the most welcoming group of people, and if I had the urge to swim at a clothing-optional beach, this would be the place!
The water is beautiful and refreshing. The stairs into the water are not in the best condition but you can hop onto the floating ring to relax a little.
We were happy to learn that the clothing-optional beach also had drink service so you can expect to have a waiter come by from time to time.
There has even been a wedding at the clothing optional beach, but we aren’t sure if they were wearing any clothes.
None of the other Sandals Resorts have a nude beach. Sometimes women will go topless at some of the resorts but it is fairly rare. In general, management will only say something if other guests complain.
