One of the cheapest suites at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the Regent Oceanfront Butler Suite is located close to the beach and features lovely ocean views but no real balcony. Sliding glass doors open to a French balcony, which is basically just a railing, but it allows you to enjoy the ocean breezes and Caribbean views.
Located in the West Wing on the first, second, and third floors, this suite also contains a 4-poster mahogany king bed, sitting area with comfy chairs and small dining set, and a marble bath with double vanity and tub/shower combination.
It also comes with a fully stocked bar including beer, soda, juice, water, Robert Mondavi wine, and premium liquor, plus a coffeemaker with Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee; 24-hour inroom dining; and personal butler service.
Your team of butlers will take care of all your needs plus arrange special extras, doing things like helping unpack, making dinner reservations and spa arrangements, reserving chairs by the beach and pool, bringing you snacks and drinks throughout the day, booking excursions, and more.
Note that these rooms have a traditional décor that some guests find dated but others love. These suites are scheduled to be refurbished, but the process will be slow as it needs to happen when occupancy rates are low. If an updated room is important to you, be sure to ask when booking or look at suites that are in the East Wing, which has been renovated.

We loved our visits here and find the level of service to be amazing and the vibe to be peaceful and relaxing. Plus, whenever you want more activity you can hop on the free shuttle to nearby Sandals Ochi, which as the largest Sandals resort has plenty to do (along with 16 restaurants and 11 bars to try). You also get free green fees at and transportation to a championship golf course.
Something to note is that the décor here is quite dated. This is because a very loyal clientele prefers it and doesn’t want things changed. Some people love the retro feel, and some do not.
