Staying in a Sunchi Beachside Walkout Club Level Room felt like having our own quiet oasis just steps from the sand. We were in Building 4, and the location couldn’t have been better, tucked along the beach path, just a short stroll to Gatsu Gatsu, The Strand, and all the heart-of-the-resort action, but still peaceful and relaxing.

Our private patio quickly became one of our favorite features. It came with a Tranquility Soaking Tub, privacy curtains, and a bistro set that made it the perfect place to unwind after a day in the sun. The garden views gave it a calm, secluded vibe, and being on the ground floor meant we could head straight out for a beach walk whenever we felt like it.
Inside, the room was bright and inviting, with a plush king-size bed, HD Smart TV, and a comfortable sitting area where we’d relax with a drink from our stocked in-room bar. It had everything we needed, from wine and cocktails to soft drinks and snacks.

The spa-style bathroom was clean and modern, with a glass-paneled walk-in rain shower, single vanity, and Red Lane Spa products that smelled incredible. The layout was practical and felt luxurious without being too over-the-top.
The Club Sandals concierge service elevated the whole experience—from private check-in to help with reservations and just having a friendly face around to answer questions. We also loved using the Club Lounge for a quick snack or a quiet escape from the sun.

Sunchi Building at Sandals Royal Curaçao
The Sunchi Building is a fantastic choice if you’re dreaming of a stay close to the beach with quick access to some of the resort’s top dining spots. Located along the beachfront, these rooms are positioned in a line that begins near the lobby and extends farther down the coast, depending on the room number. We put in requests for our clients depending on how far or close to the lobby they want to be.
This building is steps from the sand and features two swim-up pools, which are perfect for a refreshing dip without heading to the main pool area. Whether you’re staying in a swim-up room or a second-floor suite with ocean views, you’ll enjoy a relaxing coastal vibe and beautiful scenery right outside your door.

It’s also conveniently located near The Strand, the beachfront restaurant, and Gatsu Gatsu, one of the resort’s standout spots for sushi and Asian-inspired cuisine. The lobby and Kanaal Coffee Shop are just a short walk away if you’re staying in one of the closer rooms.

Sandals Royal Curaçao is one of the newest and most unique Sandals resorts, offering a modern, Dutch-Caribbean vibe with all the signature Sandals luxury inclusions. Opened in 2022, this adults-only, all-inclusive escape is designed for couples who want a balance of relaxation, adventure, and elevated style.

Dining & Drinks
- 8 Gourmet Restaurants including Italian, Asian fusion, seafood, and farm-to-table cuisine
- 3 Unique Food Trucks for beachside bites with local flair
- 13 Bars, including swim-up bars, a wine bar, and mixology-focused lounges
- Locally Sourced Ingredients and Curaçao-inspired menus throughout the property
The food here is elevated and better than most Sandals Resorts. We loved the food trucks for lunch, the coffee shop each morning, and an iced latte during the day. For dinner, there are so many options, but my favorites are Zuka and Gatsu Gatsu.
Pools & Beach
The resort has several large pools, including the iconic Dos Awa Infinity Pool, a stunning two-level infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a quiet secluded pool and pools with swim-up suites.

The beach has clear, calm water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. This is not the typical beach location since the beach that is swimmable is set on a river inlet with a floating dock creating the beach area.
Activities & Inclusions
At Sandals Royal Curacao, there are unlimited water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving for certified divers. On land there is tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, and access to a scenic 18-hole golf course (at additional cost).
At the main pool there is entertainment throughout the day and each night you can expect themed entertainment.
If you’re looking for a Sandals resort that feels both refreshingly different and undeniably upscale, Sandals Royal Curaçao is a standout. It combines Sandals’ signature service and amenities with a stylish, culturally rich destination, perfect for couples who want to discover something new in the Caribbean.
