Travertine Luxury Room Review – The Cheapest Room at Sandals Dunn’s River

We just check in to the Travertine Luxury Room at Sandals Dunn’s River. This is our third trip to Sandals Dunn’s River and this is the cheapest room at Sandals Dunn’s River.

Even as the entry-level room category at the resort, the room feel comfortable, luxurious, and bright. What we love most is that we get almost everything that the more expensive rooms have without the increased price.

Room Overview & Design

Located in the Travertine Building, these rooms reflect the clean, coastal aesthetic that sets Sandals Dunn’s River apart. Interiors feature natural stone textures, light wood accents, and Caribbean-inspired art, creating a bright, airy space that feels fresh and modern.

Each room includes:

  • A king-size bed
  • A Smart TV
  • A bathroom with a rain shower and dual vanities
  • A private balcony or patio with tropical garden or resort views
  • A stocked mini-fridge with water, soda, juice, local beer, and wine
  • Air conditioning, ceiling fan, in-room safe, and complimentary Wi-Fi

While these rooms don’t offer ocean views or swim-up access, they are beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing after a day of sun and adventure.

What’s Included

As a Luxury Level room, the Travertine Luxury Room includes all of Sandals’ signature all-inclusive offerings, such as:

  • Unlimited dining at 12+ gourmet restaurants
  • Premium drinks at multiple bars, including swim-up bars
  • Access to pools, whirlpools, and the resort’s private beach
  • Land and water sports, including snorkeling and scuba diving (for certified divers)
  • Nightly entertainment and live shows
  • Airport transfers and all gratuities (except butlers and spa staff)

What it doesn’t include:

  • Concierge or butler service
  • Access to the Club Sandals Lounge

This makes it ideal for guests who plan to explore the resort and enjoy the restaurants, bars, and beach rather than spend extended time in their room.

Location at the Resort

The Travertine Building is located conveniently near the heart of the resort. Within the same building are the lobby, gift shop, culinary desk, Island Routes for excursions, and Hanami, the sushi restaurant.

Just outside the lobby, moving away from the beach, you find some of our favorite spots: Blum Coffee, Zuka, and the Rum Club.

On the other side of the building is the main pool, beach and all the other dining options.

You can not beat the location of this room!

Who It’s Best For

The Travertine Luxury Room at Sandals Dunn’s River is a great room. I find that even though the room does not have an ocean view, the hills behind the resort still make for a decent view.

If you want to enjoy a room on a budget, this room is a perfect option.

If you don’t mind spending more, the more expensive rooms will give you better views and other amenities that may be worth it for you.

Whatever you choose, we love this resort as it is our favorite Sandals resort in Jamaica, and would highly recommend any of the rooms.
