The Amante One Bedroom Swim-up Oceanview Butler Suite with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub patio was a great choice for our recent trip to Sandals Royal Curacao. We loved waking up and stepping out to that calm, blue horizon each morning felt like a dream. Being on the ground floor with direct swim-up access made it incredibly easy to take a dip anytime we wanted without leaving the room area. The pool wraps around the building and has a very peaceful vibe, which we loved.
The patio setup was one of the highlights of our stay. The Tranquility Soaking Tub for two was tucked behind privacy curtains, giving us the perfect space to relax with a cocktail after a day in the sun. The lounge chairs and bistro set made it easy to enjoy breakfast or coffee with a view, and the outdoor space felt like an extension of the suite, very private and serene.

Inside, the suite felt spacious, elegant, and modern. The bedroom featured a plush king-size bed, a cozy seating area, and a huge smart TV. The living room added even more space, with a second TV and another seating area that came in handy during room service meals. The half bath off the living area was also a convenient touch.
The bathroom was sleek but compact. It had a beautiful walk-in shower with a glass wall into the bedroom (a unique feature that gave it a very open feel), though I would have preferred double vanities for more space when we were getting ready at the same time. That said, the Red Lane Spa products and overall layout still felt upscale and thoughtful.
Our butler service was fantastic. From pre-stocking our bar with our favorites, to setting up our beach loungers every day, and surprising us with treats and cocktails by the pool, they made the experience seamless. One night, they even had our patio tub filled and ready after dinner with rose petals and candles—pure magic.
A Few Things to Know
- While the bathroom was gorgeous, a double sink setup would have made it perfect.
- The swim-up pool outside is shared with other suites, so while we had plenty of privacy on our patio, it’s not a completely private pool.
The Amante Building at Sandals Royal Curaçao
If you’re looking for a room that strikes the perfect balance between convenience, views, and vibrant energy, the Amante Building at Sandals Royal Curaçao is a fantastic choice.
Located close to some of our favorite spots at the resort, Amante puts you steps from the food trucks, Aolos Greek restaurant, and Tuin Bar—which, during our visit, quickly became our go-to spot thanks to an incredible bartender who made each evening feel extra special. You’re also surrounded by a beautiful swim-up pool, and just a short walk from the resort’s main infinity pool, making it easy to relax or cool off at any time of day.
Rooms on the pool-facing side of the building can hear music and entertainment from the nearby main stage in the evenings, so if you enjoy a lively vibe (or don’t mind a bit of background sound), that side is a great pick. The other side of the building is more peaceful and faces the gardens or inland views.
It’s also a quick walk to the lobby, where you’ll find Kanaal, the coffee and dessert bar, Butch’s Chophouse, and the breakfast buffet, making it super convenient to start your mornings or grab a treat throughout the day. The beach is a bit farther away, so if oceanfront lounging is your priority, you’ll want to keep that in mind. But overall, the location makes up for it with its access to dining, drinks, and resort activities.

The food here is elevated and better than most Sandals Resorts. We loved the food trucks for lunch, the coffee shop each morning, and an iced latte during the day. For dinner, there are so many options, but my favorites are Zuka and Gatsu Gatsu.
Pools & Beach
The resort has several large pools, including the iconic Dos Awa Infinity Pool, a stunning two-level infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a quiet secluded pool and pools with swim-up suites.
The beach has clear, calm water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. This is not the typical beach location since the beach that is swimmable is set on a river inlet with a floating dock creating the beach area.
Activities & Inclusions
At Sandals Royal Curacao, there are unlimited water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving for certified divers. On land there is tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, and access to a scenic 18-hole golf course (at additional cost).
At the main pool there is entertainment throughout the day and each night you can expect themed entertainment.
