Every Sandals resort is located in the Caribbean on a beautiful beach, so you really can’t go wrong, but if you’re wondering which Sandals resort has the best beaches, we’re here to help!
We’ve been to every Sandals resort and definitely have our own favorites. Our top pick used to be Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas, but it is currently being renovated into a Beaches resort.
Here are the Sandals resorts with the best beaches, in our opinion and many others’.

Sandals Barbados and Royal Barbados
Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados are situated along the picturesque Dover Beach in the St. Lawrence Gap area, which is renowned for its soft white sands and tranquil turquoise waters. When you think of a perfect Caribbean beach, this is what I
The beach is fantastic, with calm and clear waters, perfect for swimming and water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. As with all beaches in Barbados, Dover Beach is public, which means vendors will be passing by trying to sell their goods, and people with jetskis and excursion options will be on the beach as well.
The main complaint about Sandals Barbados is that there are a small number of beach chairs compared to the number of guests, making it almost impossible to get beach chairs without getting up early or having a butler.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian, St. Lucia
Set along peaceful Rodney Bay, the beach at Sandals Grande St. Lucian is a mile long and offers calm, clear waters perfect for watersports. It also has a wonderful view.
The beach’s tranquil conditions make it ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and a variety of water sports. The expansive shoreline provides ample space for relaxation, sunbathing, and enjoying the picturesque views of the surrounding landscape. This serene beachfront setting enhances the resort’s reputation as a premier destination for couples seeking a romantic and luxurious Caribbean getaway.
Keep in mind this beach is also a public beach, but most of the activity is people walking across the beach, not too many staying to actually go swimming.
Sandals Grenada
Sandals Grenada is set on the exclusive Pink Gin Beach. Dan loves the beach here because the swimming area is protected by a rock wall, leading to great snorkeling and easy swimming.
This secluded stretch offers soft, white sands and clear, calm waters, providing a serene setting for guests. While the beach is relatively compact compared to others in the Caribbean, it offers an intimate and tranquil atmosphere. Guests can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and various water sports directly from the resort’s beachfront.

Sandals South Coast, Jamaica
Featuring a pristine 2-mile stretch of private white-sand beach, Sandals South Coast is nestled in a nature preserve for a serene, secluded escape.
The resort’s private, white-sand beach offers guests ample space to relax and enjoy the Caribbean sun. Protected by a coral reef, the beach features calm, clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The expansive shoreline provides numerous loungers and umbrellas, ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors. This serene beachfront setting enhances the resort’s romantic and luxurious ambiance, making it a sought-after destination for couples seeking a tranquil Caribbean getaway.
The only con with this beach is that there are sea erchins. We recommend using goggles to see if there are any in the area before walking around in the water.
Sandals Grande Antigua
This romantic resort is located on Antigua’s most famous and best beach, Dickenson Bay. It features calm, clear water, soft white sand, swaying palm trees, and an offshore reef for good snorkeling.
The beach’s gentle slope and serene conditions provide a perfect setting for both relaxation and aquatic adventures.
Guests at Sandals Grande Antigua have direct access to this picturesque shoreline, allowing them to enjoy the natural beauty of Dickenson Bay right at their doorstep. The resort’s beachfront location offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience for visitors seeking a luxurious Caribbean getaway.
The beach is a public beach and has the most active vendors of any Sandals Resort. On your first day you will be approached by multiple vendors but after they know they already spoke to you they will no longer approach you. You will, however, continue to hear them trying to grab the attention of other guests.
Sandals Negril, Jamaica
Set on famous Seven Mile Beach, Sandals Negril offers a mile of white sand along calm, clear, turquoise water. You can snorkel from the beach here, and the sunsets are amazing since the beach faces west.
The beach is lined with lounge chairs and shaded areas, allowing guests to unwind comfortably while soaking up the Caribbean sun.
There are a variety of water sports, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The calm, shallow waters and gentle waves create a safe and enjoyable environment for swimmers of all levels.
We do love this beach and the resort for the beautiful views, which bring me calm just thinking about it. The only con is the sand gets mushy after the water is about 3 feet deep.
This is a public beach but is not busy. We recommend you bring some small bills to tip the musicians that walk the beach playing your requests.
Sandals Saint Vincent
Sandals Saint Vincent is an amazing modern resort with a beautiful beach. Located in Buccament Bay, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the resort is nestled within a secluded cove, offering guests an intimate beachfront experience. The surrounding area is characterized by lush greenery and unspoiled landscapes, providing a serene and picturesque setting.
The beach is public and while there are usually a few locals enjoying the beach, its the cruise guests that feel a bit out of place.
How to choose the best Sandals resorts beaches for you

Do you want to be able to go for long walks? Do you want to stay in a beachfront suite? Do you prefer the beach to be private? Would you rather a lively or peaceful vibe?

Which Sandals Resort has the clearest water?
Many of the Sandals Resorts have clear water, but in my opinion the most clear water is at Sandals Barbados and Royal Barbados, Sandals Antigua and Sandals Royal Barbados.
Which Sandals resort has the best beach for families?
Since Sandals resorts are adults only, you’ll need to head to their sister brand Beaches for a family vacation. The best beach is at Beaches Turks & Caicos, as it is set on Grace Bay Beach, one of the most gorgeous beaches we’ve ever seen.
What are the Sandals resorts best beaches for privacy?
Our first choice here would be Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It has two private beaches tucked into quiet coves. Next up would be Sandals South Coast because the beach is very long so its easy to find a secluded area with a private beach feel, especially near the overwater bungalows.
Which Sandals resort has the best beach for sunsets?
Our pick for this would be Sandals Negril as well. It faces west and we saw some amazing sunsets during our visit there.
Which Sandals resort has the best beach for long walks?
Set on Seven Mile Beach, Sandals Negril has a long stretch of beach that’s perfect for strolling. Another great choice is Sandals South Coast in Whitehouse, Jamaica, with a 2-mile stretch of private, pristine beach. Sandals Grande St. Lucian also has a mile-long beach.
Another great option is Sandals South Coast because the beach is very long and extends beyond the resort.
