We stayed in the Carisia Club Level Oceanview Walkout Room with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub, and it was exactly what we needed for a laid-back getaway. Being on the ground floor, we had easy access to the resort grounds and loved being able to step right out onto our private patio each morning, coffee in hand, to take in the view of the tropical gardens and the ocean peeking through in the distance.

Inside, the room felt modern and cozy. We had a comfortable king-size bed, a seating area with a plush chair, and a large smart TV, which we never used. The in-room bar was well-stocked with liquor, wine, and mixers, ideal for a quick drink before heading out to dinner.

The bathroom was compact but spa-like, with a sleek walk-in rain shower and a glass panel that looked into the bedroom, which added a contemporary, open feel. While there was only a single vanity, there was still enough counter space for both of us to get ready without feeling cramped.

The Club Level service really elevated the stay. We loved the private check-in, the option to grab snacks or drinks in the Club Sandals Lounge, and the ability to order in-room dining between 7 AM and 10 PM. Having concierge help with dinner reservations and activity planning made everything smoother, and it was nice not having to wait in lines at the front desk for anything.
My only complaint is that these rooms are near the main pool, and we would hear the music all the time, and they played a movie outside our room as well one night.

The Carisia Building at Sandals Royal Curaçao
The Carisia Building is the best choice for couples who want to be in the heart of the resort, with everything just steps away. Located right next to the main lobby, it offers unmatched convenience, especially if you want easy access to dining, drinks, and daily activities without walking too far.
Just outside the building, you’ll find some of the resort’s key venues: Kanaal, the cozy European-style coffee and dessert bar; the breakfast buffet; and Butch’s Chophouse, one of Sandals’ signature fine dining experiences.
While the building doesn’t have beachfront or oceanfront views, it makes up for it by being central to nearly everything. The main infinity pool and food truck area are just a short walk away, and if you’re planning spa treatments or excursions, being so close to the lobby is a real perk.

Sandals Royal Curaçao is one of the newest and most unique Sandals resorts, offering a modern, Dutch-Caribbean vibe with all the signature Sandals luxury inclusions. Opened in 2022, this adults-only, all-inclusive escape is designed for couples who want a balance of relaxation, adventure, and elevated style.

Dining & Drinks
- 8 Gourmet Restaurants including Italian, Asian fusion, seafood, and farm-to-table cuisine
- 3 Unique Food Trucks for beachside bites with local flair
- 13 Bars, including swim-up bars, a wine bar, and mixology-focused lounges
- Locally Sourced Ingredients and Curaçao-inspired menus throughout the property
The food here is elevated and better than most Sandals Resorts. We loved the food trucks for lunch, the coffee shop each morning, and an iced latte during the day. For dinner, there are so many options, but my favorites are Zuka and Gatsu Gatsu.
Pools & Beach
The resort has several large pools, including the iconic Dos Awa Infinity Pool, a stunning two-level infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a quiet secluded pool and pools with swim-up suites.

The beach has clear, calm water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. This is not the typical beach location since the beach that is swimmable is set on a river inlet with a floating dock creating the beach area.
Activities & Inclusions
At Sandals Royal Curacao, there are unlimited water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving for certified divers. On land there is tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, and access to a scenic 18-hole golf course (at additional cost).
At the main pool there is entertainment throughout the day and each night you can expect themed entertainment.
If you’re looking for a Sandals resort that feels both refreshingly different and undeniably upscale, Sandals Royal Curaçao is a standout. It combines Sandals’ signature service and amenities with a stylish, culturally rich destination, perfect for couples who want to discover something new in the Caribbean.
