Staying in a Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalow in Sandals Royal Curaçao was so much fun! Tucked around a lush, man-made island and a serene semi-private heart-shaped pool, these bungalows felt like a mini resort within a resort.
The floor plan is the same as the more expensive bungalows with private pools and similar to the overwater bungalows at other resorts.
The bungalow’s vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors made the space feel airy and luxurious. The king-size bed, draped in soft linens and plush pillows, was incredibly inviting. The smart TV, ceiling fan, and fully stocked wet bar with premium liquors and wines added to the feeling of an upscale retreat.

The bathroom was spacious and spa-like, with double sinks, a beautiful backlit mosaic mirror, and a large walk-in rain shower. It had everything we needed to unwind after long beach days, and the plush towels and Red Lane Spa products were lovely touches.
But the private patio truly stole the show. With sun loungers, a bistro set for two, and a Tranquility Soaking Tub with privacy curtains, it became our go-to spot in the early mornings and evenings. One of our favorite moments was enjoying room service breakfast here, with the breeze coming off the pool and the whole area still quiet and calm.
The semi-private pool just steps from our patio was perfect, quiet, never crowded, and felt like an extension of our own outdoor space. It was ideal for a quick dip without having to head to the main pool or beach. In our time here we rarely saw other couples taking advantage of the pool.
And of course, our butler service was impeccable. From check-in to the final goodbye, they made every part of the stay feel effortless. They brought drinks and snacks poolside, set up our excursions, handled our dinner reservations, and even surprised us with a candlelit soak and wine one evening.=

Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows at Sandals Royal Curaçao
If you’re looking for a peaceful and private escape with a boutique-style vibe, the Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows at Sandals Royal Curaçao are hard to beat. Tucked away on the far side of the resort, these bungalows are part of a tranquil, garden-ringed enclave centered around a serene heart-shaped pool that feels like your own secluded oasis.
One of our favorite things about this location is how quiet and relaxed it feels, perfect for couples looking to unwind. Yet, you’re still just a short stroll from the action. The Greek restaurant is right nearby and perfect for a romantic à la carte dinner, while the food trucks are also within easy reach when you’re craving something casual and flavorful.
Though these bungalows are a bit farther from the beach and main pool, we found the walk to the lobby, bars, and restaurants to be easy and pleasant. Plus, with Butler Elite service, you can always have a golf cart ready to whisk you around the resort at any time. They also have bikes around the resort you can hop on to get around.

The food here is elevated and better than most Sandals Resorts. We loved the food trucks for lunch, the coffee shop each morning, and an iced latte during the day. For dinner, there are so many options, but my favorites are Zuka and Gatsu Gatsu.
Pools & Beach
The resort has several large pools, including the iconic Dos Awa Infinity Pool, a stunning two-level infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a quiet secluded pool and pools with swim-up suites.
The beach has clear, calm water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. This is not the typical beach location since the beach that is swimmable is set on a river inlet with a floating dock creating the beach area.
Activities & Inclusions
At Sandals Royal Curacao, there are unlimited water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving for certified divers. On land there is tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, and access to a scenic 18-hole golf course (at additional cost).
At the main pool there is entertainment throughout the day and each night you can expect themed entertainment.
