Although there are plenty of complimentary activities onsite to keep you busy, it’s always fun to explore Jamaica and see some of the local culture and popular sites. Since it’s located in Ocho Rios close to tons of fun activities and attractions, Sandals Ochi makes a great base for area tours.
It’s easy to book Sandals Ochi excursions—you can do it on the Sandals website after you make your reservation, or at the resort once you’ve arrived. If you’re staying in a butler-level suite, your butler will be happy to make all arrangements. Note that all Sandals excursions cost extra and are not included in your rate.
We suggest booking excursions as far in advance as possible—Sandals Ochi is a big resort and the top tours can fill up, especially if you’re traveling in a peak time. We also recommend not trying to do more than two activities in a day.

Best Sandals Ochi Excursions
Some of our favorite Sandals excursions in Jamaica are located close to Sandals Ochi: Dunn’s River Falls and the Blue Hole.
We loved Dunn’s River Falls. We took the catamaran excursion there and feel like that is the best option. However, you can also combine it with ziplining or another activity. And the Blue Hole is really beautiful and fun. Another of our favorite Sandals Ochi excursions was the river tubing.
We don’t recommend the ATV tours, horseback riding, or Luminous Lagoon from this Sandals resort, as you spend too much time getting there and back for a comparatively short experience. And while the tours of Kingston and Bob Marley’s home and museum are fascinating, there is a lot of travel time involved in those as well.
Sandals Ochi excursions reviews like the “best excursions to do while at Ochi” thread on Reddit mention multiple favorite options. The catamaran cruise to Dunn’s River Falls with snorkeling is a popular recommendation.
