The Sunchi Beachside Oceanview One Bedroom Butler Suite felt like we had our own elevated hideaway perched above the beach. Located on the third floor of Building 7, we had a clear view of the ocean, the curve of the shoreline, and the lush tropical gardens all around the resort. From our private balcony, we spent countless hours watching boats drift by, sipping cocktails from our in-room bar, and soaking in the peaceful Caribbean vibe.
The suite layout gave us that sense of space and luxury that’s ideal for longer stays or couples who want to spread out a bit. The bedroom was comfortable and calming, with a plush king-size bed, soft lighting, and a cozy sofa chair perfect for reading or relaxing with a view. The HD Smart TVs in both the bedroom and living room were great for winding down in the evening.

We especially loved the bathroom design the walk-in shower had a sleek glass panel that looked into the bedroom, making everything feel open and modern. The Red Lane Spa products and soft lighting added to that spa-like feel we’ve come to love at Sandals.
The living room gave us a little extra breathing room and was great when one of us wanted to nap while the other relaxed. Having a guest half bathroom in addition to the main one was also surprisingly convenient. The fully stocked bar was always replenished with our favorites, and we never had to worry about a thing thanks to our personal butler. They handled everything from restaurant reservations to surprise snacks and drinks brought up to our balcony without even asking.
Sunchi Building at Sandals Royal Curaçao
The Sunchi Building is a fantastic choice if you’re dreaming of a stay close to the beach with quick access to some of the resort’s top dining spots. Located along the beachfront, these rooms are positioned in a line that begins near the lobby and extends farther down the coast, depending on the room number. We put in requests for our clients depending on how far or close to the lobby they want to be.
This building is steps from the sand and features two swim-up pools, which are perfect for a refreshing dip without heading to the main pool area. Whether you’re staying in a swim-up room or a second-floor suite with ocean views, you’ll enjoy a relaxing coastal vibe and beautiful scenery right outside your door.
It’s also conveniently located near The Strand, the beachfront restaurant, and Gatsu Gatsu, one of the resort’s standout spots for sushi and Asian-inspired cuisine. The lobby and Kanaal Coffee Shop are just a short walk away if you’re staying in one of the closer rooms.

The food here is elevated and better than most Sandals Resorts. We loved the food trucks for lunch, the coffee shop each morning, and an iced latte during the day. For dinner, there are so many options, but my favorites are Zuka and Gatsu Gatsu.
Pools & Beach
The resort has several large pools, including the iconic Dos Awa Infinity Pool, a stunning two-level infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a quiet secluded pool and pools with swim-up suites.
The beach has clear, calm water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. This is not the typical beach location since the beach that is swimmable is set on a river inlet with a floating dock creating the beach area.
Activities & Inclusions
At Sandals Royal Curacao, there are unlimited water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving for certified divers. On land there is tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, and access to a scenic 18-hole golf course (at additional cost).
At the main pool there is entertainment throughout the day and each night you can expect themed entertainment.
