During our time at Sandals Royal Curaçao, we had the pleasure of staying in a Sunchi Beachside One-Bedroom Butler Walkout Suite, and it truly delivered the luxury and comfort we were looking for. Located in Building 6, the ground floor access meant we could walk right out to the beach path, and our patio felt private and lush, with swaying palms and plenty of greenery around us.

The patio setup was a personal favorite, complete with a Tranquility Soaking Tub for two, privacy curtains, a bistro table, and lounge chairs, it became our evening hangout spot.

Inside, the separate living room and bedroom layout made the suite feel extra spacious. The bedroom had a plush king-sized bed and felt like a serene retreat, while the living area came with a cozy seating space, a second Smart TV, and a fully stocked premium bar that made entertaining ourselves easy and fun. There’s also a half bath in the living room, which was surprisingly convenient.

The main bathroom had everything we expect from Sandals’ top-tier suites: dual vanities, a modern walk-in rain shower with a glass panel looking into the bedroom, and high-end finishes throughout. It felt spa-like, especially with the Red Lane products and warm lighting.
But what really brought it all together was the butler service. From breakfast delivered to the patio, to help with restaurant reservations and poolside drink delivery, our butlers were attentive without being intrusive. It added a level of ease that made our entire trip feel seamless.

Sunchi Building at Sandals Royal Curaçao
The Sunchi Building is a fantastic choice if you’re dreaming of a stay close to the beach with quick access to some of the resort’s top dining spots. Located along the beachfront, these rooms are positioned in a line that begins near the lobby and extends farther down the coast, depending on the room number. We put in requests for our clients depending on how far or close to the lobby they want to be.
This building is steps from the sand and features two swim-up pools, which are perfect for a refreshing dip without heading to the main pool area. Whether you’re staying in a swim-up room or a second-floor suite with ocean views, you’ll enjoy a relaxing coastal vibe and beautiful scenery right outside your door.

It’s also conveniently located near The Strand, the beachfront restaurant, and Gatsu Gatsu, one of the resort’s standout spots for sushi and Asian-inspired cuisine. The lobby and Kanaal Coffee Shop are just a short walk away if you’re staying in one of the closer rooms.

Sandals Royal Curaçao is one of the newest and most unique Sandals resorts, offering a modern, Dutch-Caribbean vibe with all the signature Sandals luxury inclusions. Opened in 2022, this adults-only, all-inclusive escape is designed for couples who want a balance of relaxation, adventure, and elevated style.

Dining & Drinks
- 8 Gourmet Restaurants including Italian, Asian fusion, seafood, and farm-to-table cuisine
- 3 Unique Food Trucks for beachside bites with local flair
- 13 Bars, including swim-up bars, a wine bar, and mixology-focused lounges
- Locally Sourced Ingredients and Curaçao-inspired menus throughout the property
The food here is elevated and better than most Sandals Resorts. We loved the food trucks for lunch, the coffee shop each morning, and an iced latte during the day. For dinner, there are so many options, but my favorites are Zuka and Gatsu Gatsu.
Pools & Beach
The resort has several large pools, including the iconic Dos Awa Infinity Pool, a stunning two-level infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a quiet secluded pool and pools with swim-up suites.

The beach has clear, calm water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. This is not the typical beach location since the beach that is swimmable is set on a river inlet with a floating dock creating the beach area.
Activities & Inclusions
At Sandals Royal Curacao, there are unlimited water sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving for certified divers. On land there is tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, and access to a scenic 18-hole golf course (at additional cost).
At the main pool there is entertainment throughout the day and each night you can expect themed entertainment.
If you’re looking for a Sandals resort that feels both refreshingly different and undeniably upscale, Sandals Royal Curaçao is a standout. It combines Sandals’ signature service and amenities with a stylish, culturally rich destination, perfect for couples who want to discover something new in the Caribbean.
