There are three Sandals resorts in St. Lucia and we have visited them all. If you’re trying to decide between them, here is a comparison to help you choose which is the best Sandals in St. Lucia for you.
It will help to first decide what type of experience you want to have, and what aspect of the resort is most important to you. For example, do you prefer peace and quiet or do you like a more exciting atmosphere? Do you want to spend all your time on the beach and doing watersports, or are you more of a pool person? Do you care how many different restaurants or bars there are?
Each of the Sandals in Saint Lucia has a different vibe, pros, and cons. But no matter which one you choose, you get to visit the other two via a free shuttle. All three also come with complimentary transportation to and green fees at a championship golf course.
All three resorts come with complimentary airport transfers as well, but be aware that they are about an hour and a half from the airport and the roads are winding. We get carsick, so we chose to pay for alternative transportation. You can choose between the ferry or a helicopter, or do like we did and try one on the way in and one on the way home. They were a fun experience and great way to see more of the island.

- Updated suites such as oceanfront walkout butler suites with private pools, Rondoval butler villas with private pools, and beachfront swim-up suites
If the beach is important to you, choose Grande St. Lucian or Halcyon Beach. Grande St. Lucian has the biggest beach, and it features soft white sand and clear, calm water. You can snorkel right off the beach here as well as do all of the complimentary watersports.
The beach at Halcyon Beach is smaller and quieter, but lovely. The water is sometimes too rough for swimming or watersports, so on those days you’ll need to take the free shuttle to Grande St. Lucian for those activities. But it’s always great for lounging.
While the beach at Regency La Toc is pretty, it is very small and the water tends to also be too rough for swimming and watersports.
If you want the most activities and dining options, and liveliest atmosphere, choose Grande St. Lucian. If you want the most peaceful and romantic vibe, choose Halcyon Beach. If you want the most affordable room rates, choose Regency La Toc. If you want overwater bungalows, choose Grande St. Lucian. If you want to be closest to the Pitons, choose Regency La Toc. If you want to be closest to the golf course, choose Grande St. Lucian.
