When we visited Sandals Regency La Toc in Castries, St. Lucia, we loved it. The island is so lush and beautiful, and Regency La Toc really makes the most of that with a hillside setting and a gorgeous beach.
In fact, Sandals Regency La Toc was our favorite of the three Sandals resorts in St. Lucia.
While we enjoyed our stays at all of the resorts, we especially loved the ambiance, the beach, and the pools at Regency La Toc. (FYI, when you stay here, you also get access via a free shuttle to the other two resorts, Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Sandals Halcyon Beach, so you’ll be able to enjoy them as well.)
Sandals Regency La Toc Promotions

We also liked that Sandals Regency La Toc is the most affordable Sandals in St. Lucia. Additionally, we found the service here to be really good, very warm and friendly, and great drink service on the beach and by the pools.
Some people don’t like La Toc because of its size; it is the largest of the three resorts, and is very spread out, so there is a lot of walking. It’s also quite hilly, so it’s not great for anyone with mobility issues. However, there are golf carts and shuttles that you can catch a ride on.
The other reason you may not like Sandals Regency La Toc is that the beach can have some waves instead of the clear, calm water you might be looking for in the Caribbean.
Pros of Sandals Regency La Toc

Cons of Sandals Regency La Toc
- Hilly & Spread Out: Resort is large and has steep inclines—can be tough for guests with mobility issues (golf carts and shuttles available).
- Wavy Beach: Not ideal for guests seeking calm Caribbean waters; Grande St. Lucian is better for swimming and watersports.
- Distance from Airport: 90-minute drive from UVF airport on winding roads (though ferry is a scenic alternative).
- Limited Soy Sushi Menu: Compared to other Sandals locations, the sushi bar has a smaller offering.
- Golf Onsite Removed: The 9-hole course at La Toc was replaced by new suites; golf now only available at Grande St. Lucian.
Arrival at Sandals Regency La Toc
None of the resorts in St. Lucia are close to the airport. The complimentary transfer to Regency La Toc is about 90 minutes, and the roads are winding. We get motion sickness, so we chose to take the ferry instead and highly recommend that experience. We got to see the Piton mountains and some dolphins, and enjoyed snacks and drinks on the way.
The resort was about 10 minutes away once we arrived at the dock. We had a butler suite, so we enjoyed a nice welcome with drinks and a private check-in in our suite.

Regency La Toc Rooms
We stayed in a Sunset Bluff Oceanview One Bedroom Butler Suite. It was set up on the hill and had amazing views from the private balcony, which also had an oversized soaking tub for two. We loved the personal butler service that comes with all Sandals butler suites.
Since the room is a bit far from the other parts of the resort, our butler would come pick us up in a golf cart is we wanted them to.
There is a variety of room types to choose from with more than 300 rooms available, including newly renovated Honeymoon Luxury rooms with private balconies and garden views, poolside rooms, oceanview rooms, oceanfront rooms, Pitons Oceanview rooms with private sundecks, beachfront walkout rooms, Honeymoon Hideaway butler suites with private pools, penthouse suites, and more.
One of the rooms we recommend is the Oceanfront Two-Story One-Bedroom Villa Suite with Tranquility Soaking Tub. These suites offer privacy but are centrally located and have a great layout.
For something really luxurious, check out the Sunset Bluff Millionaire Villa, which is very private and has incredible views plus a 3-story private deck and zero-entry plunge pool with a waterfall and whirlpool. These also come with butler service and 24-hour room service.
There are also several brand-new room types at Regency La Toc. One is the Rondoval Butler Villa. These are set in the newest section of the resort and feature private pools and outdoor soaking tubs in a secluded outdoor space, as well as personal butler service and 24-hour inroom dining.
The other is the Rondoval Butler Sky Villa, which adds a private furnished rooftop terrace (with oversized soaking tub) to the cool Rondoval suites, and also has a private pool and patio.

Sandals Regency La Toc Beach
The beach here is beautiful, a private crescent of golden sand, and we personally loved the bigger waves. There is a wide variety of watersports available, including snorkeling, scuba diving, paddleboarding, kayaking, and Hobie Cat sailing. (The snorkeling and scuba diving are boat trips—you don’t do those at the resort.)
However, some people prefer calmer water, which you can find at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. On days when the water at La Toc is too rough, you can go there for swimming and watersports.
The Food and Drink at Sandals Regency La Toc
There are 9 restaurants at Sandals Regency La Toc, and you can choose from a variety of cuisines and atmospheres, from casual to fancy. We found the food and service to be very good here.
The newest restaurant is Buccan, a restaurant serving local Caribbean cuisine.
Our favorite restaurant was La Toc, which served fine French cuisine in an upscale setting. I had an incredible braised lamb shank here. This restaurant required reservations and “resort evening attire,” which means nice pants and shirts plus closed-toe shoes for guys, and cute sundresses, skirts, and tops, or nice pants and tops for women.
The other restaurants that require reservations are Buccan, Kimono’s, the Japanese restaurant, and The Pitons, which serves Caribbean cuisine.
Other great choices are Neptune’s, which serves Mediterranean by the beach; Soy Sushi Bar; Bella Napoli pizza; and the Pavillion, which has a variety. We also enjoyed going to the British pub for late-night snacks. There’s an Italian restaurant as well.
We suggest going to dinner early if you like service to be faster.
You can also go to the restaurants at Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Sandals Halcyon Beach, for a total of 27 options. There is a Soy at the other locations as well, and we suggest going to one of those as the one at La Toc doesn’t have the full menu available.
There are 8 bars at Sandals Regency La Toc, including two swim-up bars, a beach bar, a piano bar, and the English pub. You can try 13 other bars at the other two resorts as well.

Activities and Amenities at Sandals Regency La Toc
Regency La Toc offers plenty of included activities, with watersports, land activities like tennis and golf, a fitness center, and entertainment every night like theme parties and live shows.
While there was previously a 9-hole golf course at Regency La Toc, it was replaced with Rondoval suites, so your only golf option is the 18-hole championship course at Grande St. Lucian. Free transportation and green fees are included in your stay.
La Toc has three nice pools: the main pool with a swim-up bar and lively entertainment, the Sunset Bluff pool which is up high and has amazing views and a swim-up bar, and a quiet pool.
There is also a luxurious spa with a full range of services including couples’ massages (services not included in your stay).
For an extra cost, you can take an area excursion, and we highly recommend this. St. Lucia is amazing to explore. We took the speed boat excursion to see the Pitons and a waterfall, and it included bathing in the volcanic mud pits which was really fun.

Sandals La Toc is spread out over more than 200 acres, which has pros and cons. The pros are that it makes for a peaceful atmosphere, but the con is that you might be in for a good deal of walking. However, there are golf carts and shuttles that you can take to get around.
